Job summary

Sonic Automotive is hiring a Service Porter for Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek. This full-time role supports the Service Department by moving, maintaining, and presenting vehicles while delivering top-tier customer service.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, transporting vehicles, keeping service lanes and lots clean, aiding advisors and technicians, and performing basic prep tasks. Must have valid license, pass pre-employment checks, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and assist with directing vehicles to designated service areas.
• Transport customer and dealership vehicles safely throughout the service drive, parking lot, and dealership property.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of service lanes, parking areas, customer waiting areas, and dealership grounds.
• Assist service advisors and technicians by locating, staging, and delivering vehicles as needed.
• Perform basic vehicle preparation tasks, including washing, vacuuming, fueling, and inspecting vehicles prior to customer delivery.
• Monitor lot organization and ensure vehicles are parked in designated locations to maximize operational efficiency.
• Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures while providing professional and courteous customer service.
