Job summary

Christian Brothers Automotive - Gretna is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead our Omaha-area shop and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the repair process. You will guide the team, manage estimates and work orders, and maintain high service standards at the Oakmont location.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive guest service and sales, with supervisory experience and strong software skills, including TekMetric and Windows-based tools.

Qualifications

• 5 years of work experience in automotive guest service and service sales
• Supervisory or management experience in the automotive industry
• Proficiency in Windows-based computer software and automotive store applications
• Experience with TekMetric is preferred

Job Description

Job Title: Automotive Service Manager

Location: 17875 Oakmont Drive, Omaha, United States, 68136

As a Service Manager with Christian Brothers Automotive, you are the person who leads the team that our guests look to when they need help with their vehicle and invest in their vehicle. For these reasons, you play a key role in building relationships with our guests. Our Service Managers are responsible for all that happens in our shop and how our guests are guided through the entire repair process, keeping them informed of the status of their vehicle, and ensuring their satisfaction before they leave our facility.

The Service Manager is accountable for and has authority over all aspects of the daily operation of the business. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, guest experience, sales activities, workflow, staff management, quality of work, guest satisfaction, revenue, profit margin, and other documented goals as assigned by the Director of Operations and Owner. All office and shop personnel report directly to the Service Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve office and shop personnel with humility, urgency and excellence
• Serve our guests and community in a similar manner
• Lead all daily operations
• Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures as outlined in the current Employee Handbook
• Take necessary corrective and/or disciplinary action for employee non-compliance
• Ensure quality of work, attitude, and performance meets or exceeds guest satisfaction goals
• Develop estimates and work orders
• Direct Service Writers' development of our guest estimates and work orders and assign work orders to the technicians
• Ensure selection of quality parts
• Ensure target margins are achieved
• Open and close stores on a daily basis
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, audits, and report analysis. Report results to Franchise Owners and/or Operators
• Ensure all equipment is fully operational and in good working order.
• Ensure technicians have the resources needed to do their job
• Serve as the primary communications interface to the guests, before, during, and after service
• Present the best solution to properly repair our guest’s vehicle in a way that is easy for them to understand
• Possess the ability to consistently and effectively sell our services without jeopardizing honesty and integrity
• Act in a professional manner suitable to represent a quality organization with which you are employed, always and in every instance projecting the characteristics of honesty and integrity
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Understand service to others, both professionally and personally
• Possess a grow or die mentality related to all aspects of shop operations and guest care
• 5 years work experience in Automotive Guest Service & Service Sales
• Supervisory or Management experience in the Automotive Industry
• Proficiency in Windows based computer software and automotive store applications
