Job summary

Ed Morse Automotive Group is seeking a Service Manager to lead our automotive service department and drive profitability and customer satisfaction. You will manage daily operations, mentor technicians, and control labor costs while ensuring high-quality service standards.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in service management, strong leadership, and a proven ability to develop teams, negotiate with customers, and uphold safety and service quality across multiple brands.

Qualifications

• 5 years, Service Manager Experience in the automotive industry is a must.
• Strong customer focus including negotiation and de-escalation skills.
• Leadership ability to include demonstrated ability to develop team members.
• Good automotive technical aptitude to work with automotive technicians.
• Ability to learn and work with automotive software.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop service operations, gross profit, and expense control.
• Oversee daily operation of the automotive service department to maximize sales and productivity.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop a team of service professionals; promote customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and tactfully.
• Provide exceptional customer service by listening to concerns and finding solutions.
• Generate and strive to increase labor sales.
• Ensure service is performed properly and technicians are utilized efficiently.
• Maintain a quality staff that meets manufacturers' training standards and schedules.
