Job summary

Baker Chevrolet Allegan is hiring a Service Manager to lead a high-performing service department in Allegan, MI. You will recruit, train and motivate staff while delivering a world-class customer experience and maximizing gross profit.

The role requires evident leadership, WIP controls, and adherence to GM warranty policies in a busy shop environment. A strong hands-on manager with a customer-first attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in retail automotive service with proven leadership.
• At least 2 years in a Service Manager role driving performance.
• Knowledge of GM processes and CDK is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Create a world class customer experience by building a top-tier Advisor team.
• Maximize technician productivity by smooth shop workflows.
• Hire, train and manage department staff.
• Maintain service pricing and system parameters.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranties and policies.
• Control waste, receivables and policy expenses within guides.
• Oversee shop maintenance and upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with company, factory and government policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Creates a world class customer experience by developing a top-tier Advisor team.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in the retail automotive service business.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Service Manager.
• Experience with General Motorsand CDK dealer management system are a plus.
• A current valid driver’s license is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; College degree is preferred.
