Job summary

Baker Chevrolet Allegan, part of Baker Auto Group, seeks a results-driven Service Manager for its Allegan, MI Chevrolet store. This full-time, salaried role includes a performance bonus and oversees a team of advisors and technicians to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.

Ideal candidates bring 5 years in automotive service and at least 2 years in a Service Manager role, with CDL/DOK requirements and a preference for GM & CDK experience. On-site work with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in the retail automotive service business.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Service Manager.
• GM and CDK dealer management system experience is a plus.
• A current valid driver’s license is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates a world class customer experience by developing a top-tier Advisor team.
• Maximizes Technician proficiency by ensuring work flows smoothly through the shop.
• Hires, trains and manages department team members.
• Maintains service pricing and computer system parameters.
• Understands and ensures compliance with the manufacturer warranty and policy & procedures.
• Controls areas of waste; keeps receivables, unapplied time and policy expense within guides.
• Oversees shop maintenance and upkeep.
• Ensures the department and personnel remain compliant with company, factory and government policy and regulations.
