Job summary

Tooele Motor Company is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer in Tooele, Utah. You will greet customers, document symptoms, and create repair orders while explaining services and pricing.

You will work with technicians, provide status updates, and build lasting customer relationships in a fast-paced dealership environment. A valid driver’s license is required, and there are growth opportunities.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and assist with vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms and service requests.
• Create and manage repair orders using dealership service software.
• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on vehicle needs and manufacturer guidelines.
• Clearly explain recommended repairs, pricing, and service timelines.
• Communicate with automotive technicians to monitor repair progress and ensure timely service completion.
• Provide customers with regular updates on vehicle status.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or dealership service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of automotive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair processes.
• Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive service department.
• Ability to multitask and manage several repair orders simultaneously.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn dealership software.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and a team-first mentality.
• Valid driver’s license.

Experience in automotive service, dealership operations, customer service, or automotive repair is a plus!
