Toyota Santa Monica is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Advisor. We’re looking for motivated professionals with at least 1 year of successful Service Advisor/Service Writer experience in an automotive dealership to join our high-volume dealership.

The Service Advisor serves as a liaison between customer and technician, ensuring clear communication and accurate repair recommendations. Compensation includes commissions with minimum wage for non-sales work.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership.
• Prior Toyota brand and CDK experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and listen to descriptions of problems or services needed.
• Prepare Repair Orders with time, cost and labor estimates; review warranties.

• Follow progress of service repairs and provide timely updates to customers.

Responsibilities

The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring an exemplary experience for the service customer by providing a prompt and friendly greeting, listening to their description of problems or services needed, preparing repair orders and being proactive, accurate and thorough in communication.

The Service Advisors serves as a liaison between customer and technician ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the recommended service and/or repairs are understood by the customer.

• Prepare accurate Repair Orders showing time, cost and labor estimates, verifying warranty and service contracts and reviewing with clients.
• Promote the sale of labor, parts and accessories by providing explanation of estimates and obtaining approval for work that is sold.
• Follow the progress of service repairs and provide customers with timely updates.
• Ensure high levels of customer service and retention by promptly addressing and resolving customer complaints.
• Take ownership of the customer’s experience by completing extra tasks that contribute to leaving a positive impression at the dealership.

Qualifications

• Required: A minimum of one year of previous experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership setting is required.

Compensation

• The estimated annual earnings for this position are $35,152.00 - $150,000.00 after factoring in all forms of compensation including hourly pay, commission, overtime, etc.

Employees in this position will primarily be paid commissions based on performance but will also be paid minimum wage for non-sales work and for rest periods.

Please keep in mind that this range may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
