Job summary

The BMW Group in Minnesota is seeking an Automotive Security Backend AI Engineer to advance our agentic AI toolchains for vulnerability assessment of backend systems. You will design AI-driven methods to identify vulnerabilities in source code and backend functionalities and contribute to scalable security analyses across the platform.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• Several years of professional Automotive Cybersecurity experience.
• Experience building and maintaining agentic AI toolchains.
• Experience with static/dynamic code analysis, fuzzing, and penetration testing tools.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD and IaC tools.
• Business-fluent German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an agentic AI toolchain for automated vulnerability assessment of backend systems.
• Design automated methods for identifying vulnerabilities in source code and backend functionalities using AI models.
• Expand AI-powered analysis, fuzzing, and penetration testing workflows to enhance security capabilities.
• Integrate new analysis techniques, models, and AI agents into the existing toolchain.
• Design intuitive frontends to enable security experts and engineers to leverage the toolchain.
• Automate build, deployment, and testing with CI/CD pipelines and IaC frameworks.
• Implement closed-loop feedback to optimize future analysis cycles.
