Job summary

Adient plc in Plymouth, MI invites an Engineering Intern to learn within a collaborative engineering team. You will assist with design issues, apply the Basic Engineering Process (BEP), and support development activities across automotive seating programs.

The full-time internship runs May 3 to August 12, 2027, 40 hours weekly, with exposure to CAD tools (CATIA/Siemens NX), A3 problem-solving reports, DV/PV testing coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to build practical engineering

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the resolution of design issues utilizing BEP and lean engineering principles.
• Develop and present A3 problem-solving reports during reviews.
• Collaborate with SMTEs to gain exposure to the product development process.
• Support DV/PV testing activities and coordinate test schedules and builds.
• Assist with customer and DV/PV test builds at the Plymouth Technical Center.
