Job summary

Adient is seeking a Summer Manufacturing Intern in Plymouth, MI. You will support process analysis, equipment layout with AutoCAD, and feasibility reviews while learning core manufacturing standards. Responsibilities include site visits, supplier interactions, and material flow planning for the upcoming model year launch.

Travel to other Adient facilities may be required. Qualifying students must be enrolled in a 4-year BS program in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, able to work up to 40

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a 4-year B.S. degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Available to work up to 40 hours per week during the program.
• Travel up to 25% to other Adient facilities.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Previous internship or co-op in automotive is a plus.
• AutoCAD experience is an added plus; macros development is an added plus.

Responsibilities

• Site visits for product builds with processing reviews.
• Equipment supplier visits for runoff/testing.
• Material flow planning for new model year launch.
• Direct labor CI activities and line rebalances.
• Implement layout changes for new model year.
