Job summary

Magna Seating in South Carolina is seeking an Assembly Operator to join a fast-paced production team. You will assemble automotive seat systems on the production line, rotate through tasks, read work instructions, and help ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

We value reliability, ability to follow directions, and strong teamwork. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting 25–50 lbs. High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Good hand control and ability to perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Stand for long hours, lift 25–50 lbs., and move efficiently.
• Work in safe manner and comply with safety rules and practices.
• Effective communication with team members.
• Efficiently manage tasks to meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools
• Rotate between tasks
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, or diagrams accurately
• Perform quality checks and identify defective or non-conforming parts
• Assist in plant duties such as parts inspection, inventory, cleanup, and minor equipment maintenance
• Report safety, quality, or production issues to supervisors in a timely manner
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times (e.g., Gloves, Glasses)
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation (5S compliance)
• Participate in continuous improvement and team-based problem solving
• Attend training sessions and complete required materials
