Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking Automotive Seat Assemblers for the Normal, IL area. The role is on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–12:00 AM) and involves assembling seating components, following work instructions, and meeting daily production goals. Training is provided and prior automotive experience is not required.

The position offers full-time hours with potential for temp-to-hire after 90 days and weekly pay. You’ll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, lifting up to 50 pounds and collaborating

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Automotive assembly experience is a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work overtime or adjusted schedules based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble automotive seats and seating components according to work instructions.
• Install seat covers, foam, frames, hardware, and other components.
• Use hand tools and power tools as required.
• Follow established assembly processes and production procedures.
• Perform basic quality checks to ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Identify and report quality issues or defective components.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals.
• Perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
• Assist with other production duties as assigned.
