Job summary

Pecheles Automotive Group in Eastern North Carolina is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales floor at one of our dealerships. This is a leadership role for someone who knows how to close deals, coach a team, and run the department like a business owner.

You will mentor sales professionals, structure deals, and work with the GM and F&I team to optimize profitability, CSI scores, and inventory turns.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as top-performing salesperson or sales manager in automotive retail.
• Strong ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team to real numbers.
• Desking and deal-structuring skills with F&I fundamentals.
• Willing to work retail schedule, including Saturdays.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a sales team to hit monthly volume and gross targets.
• Own the desk: structure deals, approve pricing, manage flow.
• Set daily floor pace with huddles and real-time coaching.
• Partner with GM and F&I to keep inventory turns and CSI on target.

This isn't an entry point into automotive sales - it's a leadership role for someone who already knows how to close deals, coach a team, and run a department like a business owner would. What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of sales professionals to hit and exceed monthly volume and gross targets
• Own the desk - structure deals, approve pricing, and manage deal flow from write-up to delivery
• Set the pace on the floor: daily huddles, performance tracking, and hands-on coaching in real time
• Partner with the General Manager and F&I team to keep inventory turn, CSI scores, and profitability on target
• Recruit, develop, and retain top sales talent as the department grows
• Champion a customer-first culture that turns buyers into repeat customers and referrals

What You Bring

• Proven track record as a top-performing salesperson or existing sales manager, ideally in automotive retail
• A track record of leading, motivating, and holding a sales team accountable to real numbers
• Strong desking and deal-structuring skills, with a solid grasp of F&I fundamentals
• A drive for continuous improvement - for yourself and everyone on your team
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Willingness to work a retail schedule, including Saturdays
