Job summary

Napleton Hyundai of Carmel is seeking a Sales Associate to join our dynamic automotive sales team. Our associates represent the dealership and help deliver the positive customer experience we are known for, with strong growth potential.

We offer a potential pay range of $50,000-$150,000 per year with incentive-based pay, plus medical/dental/vision coverage, 401k, paid vacation and training, and employee discounts. Minimum 2+ years in sales or customer service required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales or customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers entering the dealership and help them select a vehicle.
• Provide timely follow-up and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Explain product performance, options, and benefits to prospects.
• Deliver vehicles to customers and ensure understanding of features, warranties, and paperwork.
• Keep informed about inventory and features to help customers.
• Introduce customers to service department personnel and emphasize service quality.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs
• Provide timely follow up and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase. Determine each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
• Deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty
• Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
• Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of Sales or Customer Service Experience
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, goal orientated and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Prior proven customer-service or retail sales experience
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
