Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a General Manager in a fast-paced retail environment to lead store operations, drive service excellence for DIY and Professional customers, and grow profitability. You will manage a team, develop professional relationships, and ensure inventories and processes meet high standards.

Role requires 50-55 hours weekly, with 11-hour shifts, including nights and weekends; ASE/B2 certifications encouraged but not required. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 10-20 in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience managing profitability with strong financial acumen.
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• ASE certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve overall store sales goals and service objectives.
• Manage and grow Professional Customer relationships/sales, ensuring team accountability for customer action plans.
• Hire, develop, coach, schedule and engage store Team Members.
• Ensure execution of inventory and operational standards.
• Coach all Team Members to deliver on Customer expectations (DIY and Professional).
• On-duty responsibilities (coaching, floor/phone management, task assignment, safety).
• Lead change management.
• Provide DIY service including battery installation and wiper installation.
• Assist District/Region in other functions as needed.
