LKQ is seeking a knowledgeable technical support specialist to aid customers and drive sales growth within the PB&E sales organization. The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, product knowledge, and adherence to health and safety practices.

You will perform product demonstrations, line trials, and in-shop training, while supporting color-match efforts and resolving product issues. Collaboration with sales and installation teams aims to enhance customer output and account success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years related experience.
• 5+ years automotive refinishing experience preferred.
• Completion of paint manufacturers' training in waterborne paint application.
• Strong color-matching abilities and I-CAR certifications.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support at the customer level for PB&E sales and customer retention.
• Perform product demonstrations and line trials for prospective and existing customers.
• Provide in-shop product training for new and existing accounts.
• Resolve product failures and identify systemic causes to prevent recurrence.
• Support resolution of color issues with key accounts.

• Provide technical review of the repair process focused on product-related matters.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Equipment practices during work hours.
• Handle multiple tasks or projects with moderate complexity.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing technical support at the customer level, primarily supporting the sales growth and customer retention efforts of our PB&E sales organization with a high-quality customer focus.

• Ensure that proper use of Health, Safety and Equipment practices are adhered to during work hours.
• Perform product demonstration and line trials to prospective and existing customers.
• Perform in-shop product training for new and existing accounts as required.
• Resolution of product failures\\problems.
• Will identify the systemic cause and provide a system or process solution to eliminate reoccurrence.
• Support resolution of color issues with key accounts.
• Support sales and installation of new accounts.
• Provide technical review of the repair process focused on product-related matters.
• The objective is to ensure the proper use of the products we sell and to enhance customer output.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not responsible for supervising employees.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED 3+ years of related experience.

• Some college coursework desired.
• 5+ years of automotive refinishing experience.
• Completion of paint manufacturers' training in waterborne paint application.
• Strong color-matching abilities.
• I car certifications.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
• Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
• Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
• Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills.
• May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.

Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.

Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area. Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.

Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
