Job summary

Long-Lewis Auto Group in Tuscumbia, AL is seeking a Reconditioning Center Automotive Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and prepare pre-owned vehicles for sale. You'll work in our fast-paced Reconditioning Center with a focus on quality workmanship and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years automotive repair with trade/technical school, or 5 years without formal training.
• Experience on multiple makes/models preferred.
• Diesel knowledge is a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Work independently while maintaining productivity.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming pre-owned vehicles to identify mechanical concerns.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluids, filters, brakes, and suspension work.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and service information to accurately identify repairs.
• Complete repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Document repair work accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work with the reconditioning team to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
