Job summary

EchoPark Automotive is seeking an Automotive Reconditioning Manager for our Birmingham, AL dealership. You will lead the reconditioning team to deliver vehicles within quality and time standards, manage ROs, and drive our brand with a focus on profitability and guest satisfaction.

The role requires oversight of sublet vendors, compliance with regulations, and achievement of volume and quality goals while building a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Automotive Reconditioning or Service Management experience required.
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations.
• Strong computer knowledge including spreadsheets, word processing, data entry, inventory systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow up consistently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership of details and exercise good judgment.
• Decision-making with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily productivity reports and payroll records.
• Ensure high-quality reconditioning standards and conduct spot checks.
• Coordinate the reconditioning phase with buyers and retail teams.
• Manage sublet work relationships and enforce on-time delivery at negotiated rates.
• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting operations.
• Forecast goals and lead the department toward targets as a team.
• Ensure team members meet annual training and development goals.
• Foster innovation and celebrate team achievements.
