Job summary

EchoPark Automotive in Birmingham, AL, is seeking an Automotive Reconditioning Manager to lead our reconditioning team and uphold quality and efficiency standards across the used-vehicle pipeline.

You will coach staff, coordinate with buyers and retail teams, manage sublet vendors, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive goals for volume, quality, and guest satisfaction while maintaining brand standards.

Qualifications

• Automotive reconditioning or service management experience required
• General knowledge of vehicle mechanical operations
• Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, data entry and inventory systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow up consistently
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to own details – large and small
• Sound judgment in decision-making

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily productivity reports and payroll
• Maintain high-quality reconditioning standards with spot checks
• Coordinate reconditioning with buyer and retail teams
• Manage sublet vendors and on-time delivery at negotiated rates
• Ensure compliance with regulations (hazardous waste, OSHA)
• Forecast goals for department and individuals
• Ensure annual training and development goals for team
• Seek continuous process innovation
