Job summary

BMW of Minnetonka is seeking an experienced Automotive Recon Manager to lead a high-volume reconditioning operation onsite at the dealership. You will manage around 250 internal work items, dispatch technicians, remove roadblocks, and ensure vehicles move from recon to frontline-ready in a timely fashion.

The role reports to the Service Manager and requires a collaborative, team-first leadership style with the ability to adapt to inventory needs and priorities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in automotive service, reconditioning, dispatch, or shop operations.
• 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience dispatching work and coordinating technicians.
• Experience with repair orders, shop workflow, and vehicle reconditioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workflow for a high-volume recon operation (≈250 items).
• Dispatch repair orders based on technician skill, workload, and priorities.
• Partner with technicians to remove roadblocks and keep work moving.
• Track parts, vendor work, and delays; communicate status to leadership.
• Drive productivity, accountability, and a team-first shop environment.
