Job summary

Legacy Supply Chain in Greenfield, IN is hiring a Quality Control Inspector to inspect and measure automotive parts to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, using calipers, micrometers and other precision tools.

You will document results in the Quality Management System, identify non-conformances, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and management to drive timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail with high accuracy and accountability.
• Able to read and interpret part blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using a Quality Management System (Intelex).

Responsibilities

• Inspect and validate parts with precision tools to ensure adherence to engineering specifications and drive high-quality production outcomes.
• Document and track inspection results in the Quality Management System (QMS) for cross-functional teams to make informed decisions.
• Identify and record Non-Conformances with clear details, enabling NCR generation and swift corrective action with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and management to communicate inspection results and ensure smooth product flow.
• Adhere to safety standards to maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and quality investigations to maintain high-quality standards.
• Proactively streamline work processes to improve efficiency and quality across functions.
• Support all Quality departments as needed for seamless quality assurance.
• Assist with Packaging Quality Inspections when required before shipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet evolving organizational needs.
