Job summary

Piston Automotive, part of the Piston Group family, is seeking a Quality Engineer to plan and direct the quality operation system for manufacturing processes, materials, and products. You will drive problem solving, continuous improvement, and on-site customer support to ensure quality excellence across production lines.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and automotive manufacturing experience, with a focus on ISO/TS guidelines, FMEAs, control plans, and robust data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 4+ years experience; internship/co-op accepted.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing with Ford preferred.
• Plant manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and presenting to top management.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead APQP activities for new product launches.
• Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement for quality.
• Maintain ISO/TS guidelines and quality systems.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, FMEAs, and control plans.
• Support measurement instrument selection and Gage R&R analysis.
• Track and report scrap, warranty, and process capability metrics.
• Provide on-site support to customers and suppliers.
