Job summary

Röchling Automotive in Duncan, SC is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee plant quality performance and reduce scrap. You will lead QRQC problem solving, review control plans and quality documents for new projects, and coordinate with other Röchling plants.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least 3 years in automotive quality, with knowledge of APQP/PPAP, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, and PFMEA, PFMEA and PFMEA? and ISO/IATF 16949.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of work experience in quality control within the automotive manufacturing industry
• Familiar with Quality Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, and Control Plan
• Internal Auditor certification or experience in IATF 16949
• Familiar with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, diameter gauges, height gauges, hardness meters, and CMM equipment
• Ability to read basic technical drawings
• Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, and Minitab

Responsibilities

• Quality performance control in plant and reduce production scrap
• Enhance QRQC system and problem solving in the plant
• Carry out quality data collection/statistics/analysis
• Review control plan, quality standards, work instructions and necessary quality documents for new project
• Collaborate with other Röchling Automotive plants
