Job summary

Flexible Metal, a Hyspan Company, in Tucker, GA, is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. This full-time role focuses on developing and maintaining the plant's Quality Management System to support automotive quality commitments.

You will liaise with customers and suppliers, driving problem solving and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automotive QA, TS/IATF 16949 experience, and CMM tools proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years of quality experience in an automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.
• Direct experience with TS/IATF 16949 is required.
• CMM experience (Faro, Roemer/Hexagon, etc.) is required.
• Proficient with 8D, Six Sigma, Red X, MMOG, and other automotive quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Support the plant’s quality initiatives and align with company objectives.
• Maintain and improve IATF 16949–compliant QMS procedures.
• Serve as the quality representative in interactions with customers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to maintain quality methods and controls.
• Lead structured problem-solving activities and oversee corrective actions (8D).
• Define, monitor, and report on customer satisfaction metrics.
• Assist APQP activities including PFMEAs and work instructions.
• Support CI initiatives through training, documentation, and quality practices.
