Job summary

Flexible Metal, a Hyspan Company, Tucker, GA, is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the plant's quality initiatives and maintain IATF 16949 compliance. You will act as the primary quality liaison for customers, suppliers, and internal teams, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive quality, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Monday–Friday schedule with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a quality role within an automotive Tier 1/2 environment.
• Direct experience with TS/IATF 16949 is required.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedures.
• Experience interfacing with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Proficient in applying quality tools and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the plant's Quality Management System.
• Maintain and improve IATF 16949-compliant procedures.
• Serve as the quality representative in interactions with customers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to maintain quality methods and controls.
• Lead structured problem-solving activities and oversee the corrective action process (8D).
• Define, monitor, and report on customer satisfaction metrics.
• Assist with APQP activities, including process definitions, control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructions.
• Support plantwide Continuous Improvement initiatives through training and QA practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
