Job summary

Magna Seating in Lancaster, Ohio is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality activities across program launches and production. You will champion root-cause analysis, APQP/PPAP processes, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product quality from design through ramp.

A strong focus on customer specs and ISO/IATF16949 standards is essential. The role requires extensive experience in automotive manufacturing, measurement method development, and supplier interaction.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary graduate with a degree/diploma in Quality Engineering and/or a technical degree or equivalent work-related experience in the Quality field.
• At least 5 years in an automotive manufacturing environment with knowledge in welding and assembly processes.
• Demonstrated ability to use basic measurement tools (height gauge, vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, indicator, etc.)
• Advanced knowledge of customer and ISO9001:2015 / IATF16949: 2016 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a champion/decision maker for quality related issues within the scope of responsibility.
• Lead all program launch activities from the quality perspective.
• Coordinate tasks/responsibilities to production personnel regarding Quality issues.
• Train and mentor quality and production personnel as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Plan and prepare PPAP submissions on new products and engineering changes to meet customer deadlines.
