Job summary

Branex Group is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our automotive-focused quality team in Livonia, MI. You will collaborate with the Quality Manager to manage day-to-day quality issues, customer concerns, and supplier quality, driving continuous improvement across programs.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong communication with customers and suppliers, and the ability to lead corrective actions including 8D, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans, while ensuring IATF 16949

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive quality/manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of APQP and automotive quality requirements.
• Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
• Experience with PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and 8D.
• Strong customer-facing communication and supplier quality management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Manager and act as a key resource for quality-related issues.
• Lead and support APQP activities for new and existing programs.
• Work with customers on quality issues, concerns, and corrective actions.
• Travel to customer plants to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality problems and drive corrective actions.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions, including 8D and related methods.
• Support PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and other automotive quality requirements.
• Assist in audits and train employees on quality procedures.
