Job summary

Mishimoto seeks an Engineering Technician for hands-on prototyping, testing, and direct collaboration with engineers and the product team. You will build prototypes, perform vehicle‑level tests, and contribute to data collection and documentation across the product lifecycle.

This role involves lift work on vehicles, fabrication, testing, and creating install guides. A strong mechanical aptitude and genuine enthusiasm for performance vehicles are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or technical degree preferred with hands‑on prototyping and testing.
• 2–5 years experience executing experiments and building prototypes, with or without drawings.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment including welding, material selection, and assembly methods.
• Basic familiarity with 3D modeling and reading 2D drawings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build physical prototypes for product engineers.
• Conduct experiments involving pressure, force, airflow, heat transfer, lifecycle, and destructive testing.
• Document results and present data to engineers clearly.
• Inspect, package, and manufacture select products.
• Create written install guides for new and existing products.
• R&R parts on vehicles for product engineers.
• 3D scan vehicle parts for space claim.
• Maintain shop equipment and safety standards.
