Job summary

Beck & Pollitzer USA is seeking a Project Manager to oversee automotive industry construction projects from inception to completion. You will provide comprehensive project management and general management support with a focus on on-time, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities include planning, reporting, and coordinating with clients and internal teams. The role requires experience with mechanical/electrical installations, strong commercial skills, and the ability to travel to various job sites

Qualifications

• Experience managing mechanical and electrical engineering projects, mainly installations of production equipment.
• Strong commercial and project management skills: negotiating, planning, estimating, costing, and quoting.
• Strong IT (MS Office) and numeracy skills.
• Experience managing a small team and coordinating internal labor and sub-contractors.
• Knowledge of current H&S legislation and risk management processes.
• Good financial skills including cost and budgetary controls and accounting procedures.
• Project management qualification or specific training.
• Ability to secure a contractor's license(s) for the company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
• Provide project management and general management support across engineering projects in the automotive sector.
• Plan, control and monitor projects; report to Operations Manager.
• Maintain records and documentation; produce change-order estimates.
• Coordinate with client and internal teams; manage meetings and minutes.
• Manage contract performance with cost control and subcontractors; ensure safety and quality compliance.
