Job summary

Air Squared Manufacturing, LLC is seeking an Automotive Project Manager to coordinate the successful launch of automotive products from late-stage development through start of production and ramp into high-volume production. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring customer requirements are met.

The position offers a full-time, exempt role based in Thornton, Colorado, with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of project management experience (preferred).
• Automotive background required.
• Exposure to APQP and product development processes.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Analytical problem-solving and multitasking ability.
• Experience with various manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between automotive customers and Air Squared during development, launch, and stabilization.
• Manage automotive launch projects from development through production stabilization and ensure milestones are met.
• Create and maintain project plans, communicate status, manage risks, and coordinate activities across departments.
• Lead APQP activities and coordinate customer documentation (PPAP submissions and deliverables).
• Coordinate production readiness to transition from development to production ramp-up.
• Work with Engineering to ensure required testing is completed per schedules and specs.
• Coordinate resolution of technical, quality, supplier and production issues affecting launches and customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate engineering changes and inform stakeholders of scope/timing/quality changes.
• Define, assign and track action items to ensure timely launch deliverables and cross-functional commitments.
• Coordinate transfer of ownership, documentation, and open issues after production stabilization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $130,000/year, based on experience and qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage automotive launch projects from development through production stabilization, ensuring customer requirements, project milestones, and launch objectives are achieved
• Create and maintain project plans, communicate status, manage risks, and coordinate activities across internal departments
• Lead APQP activities and coordinate completion of customer-required documentation, including PPAP submissions and supporting deliverables
• Coordinate production readiness activities to ensure a successful transition of products from development into production and ramp-up
• Work with Engineering teams to ensure customer-required testing is completed and documented in accordance with project schedules and specifications
• Coordinate resolution of technical, quality, supplier, and production related issues that may affect product launch of customer satisfaction
• Facilitate engineering changes and ensure customers and internal stakeholders are informed of changes affecting project scope, timing, quality, or production readiness
• Define, assign, and track project action items to ensure timely completion of launch deliverables and cross-functional commitments
• Coordinate transfer of product ownership, project documentation, open issues, and customer requirements following production stabilization
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• MUST SUBMIT RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (required)
• 3 years of project management related experience (preferred)
• Automotive background (required)
• Exposure to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
• Familiarity with Product Development Process
• Strong communication skills (required)
• Analytical work methodology and problem solving (preferred)
• Ability to work on multiple projects effectively (preferred)
• Experience with various manufacturing processes (preferred)
