Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Program Manager in Mountain View, CA to lead automotive development programs from concept through production. You will coordinate design, validation, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams, tracking milestones, risks, and budget while reporting to leadership.

The role requires strong program management experience in automotive product development, with expertise in PLM, DVP, and supplier collaboration, based in Mountain View.

Qualifications

• Experience leading automotive product development programs.
• End-to-end vehicle development from concept to production.
• Strong lifecycle understanding incl. design, CAE validation loops, release readiness.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, critical-path management, milestone tracking.
• DVP planning, execution tracking, and issue management expertise.
• Experience coordinating with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to track product cost, tooling investment, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall program management for an automotive development program.
• Develop and maintain an integrated program plan covering engineering, styling, CAE, releases, tooling, and build events.
• Track deliverables, milestones, risks, and critical path dependencies.
• Drive cross-functional program reviews and leadership status reporting.
• Monitor unit cost and tooling investments against targets and flag deviations with mitigations.
• Coordinate component release planning across engineering workstreams.
• Lead DVP planning, tracking, and readiness reviews.
• Engage with suppliers to resolve DFM concerns and ensure program alignment.
• Maintain governance, reporting standards, and customer expectations.
