Job summary

Tuopu Group is seeking an on-site Project/Program Manager to lead multi-disciplinary automotive development efforts in the Fremont area. You will plan budgets, timelines, and team coordination while ensuring prototypes and launches meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customer engineering, managing milestones, and driving issue resolution across internal and external teams. Travel up to 30% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field preferred).
• Familiar with IATF16949 quality management system and OEM component development process.
• Proficient with common project management tools including 8D, Fishbone Diagram, 5WHY, Pareto Chart and Histogram.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills
• Strong team and group dynamic interpersonal skills
• Ability to build strong working relationships with customers and colleagues in China
• Proficient with CATIA/UG, MS Office, and AAR software
• Automotive OEM and supplier industry experience preferred
• Willingness to travel (30%)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site engineering and quality representative for Tuopu customers; ensure program deliverables and timelines are met.
• Organize development of project plans and milestones; track sub-plans and progress.
• Hold regular project meetings; attend client meetings and follow up on issues.
• Manage program communication with customers and internal teams throughout design, development, and launches.
• Work with customer engineering staff to understand design requirements and develop timely technical solutions.
• Review documents submitted to customers for technical accuracy and completeness.
• Provide engineering support to sales; guide BOM/drawing/material requirements.
• Issue internal POs, manage prototype schedules, and communicate delivery timelines.
• Support the Quality Department in understanding print and technical product requirements.
• Apply problem-solving skills to improve robustness in design and process; maintain data gates.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and collaborate with local and international teams.
• Complete other duties as reasonably requested by management or customers.
