Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Production Supervisor for a heavy manufacturing client in Blacksburg, VA. The role leads a production team, drives safety, quality, delivery and cost performance, and partners with cross-functional groups to resolve issues.

You will develop staff, implement lean practices, and use data-driven problem solving to improve efficiency. A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in manufacturing are preferred; automotive experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent leadership experience in manufacturing.
• 4+ years in production or manufacturing operations.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or related manufacturing industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop production teams while fostering accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Drive daily production performance by meeting safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and efficiency goals.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve manufacturing performance.
• Develop employee training plans, address skill gaps, and ensure workforce readiness and compliance.
• Leverage data, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operations and strengthen team performance.
