Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Production Worker to operate production machinery and help manufacture half shafts and automotive components in a climate-controlled, high-volume facility in Pontiac, MI. You will follow precise work instructions, meet safety and quality standards, and support multiple shifts to hit production targets.

The role requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform assembly, loading, packing, and general labor tasks with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly and perform associated motions.
• Must be able to stand for the full shift.
• Attendance must be reliable and consistent.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with power tools and hand tools in a production or assembly environment.
• Ability to operate machines safely and efficiently in a general production setting.
• Capability to perform assembly, loading, packing, packaging and general labor tasks.
• Attention to detail for sorting and inspection of parts and components.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line machinery to feed, run, and monitor equipment according to work instructions
• Inspect parts and components against defined quality criteria to ensure they meet specifications
• Assemble products following detailed work instructions and quality alerts
• Assist in various production areas as needed to support continuous workflow
• Monitor the production process and promptly report issues or abnormalities
• Perform visual inspections of parts produced, following work instructions and quality alerts
• Carry out basic quality and testing checks to verify product conformity
• Perform other production-related activities as directed by leadership
