Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Production Engineer in Frankfort, KY, to evaluate and enhance production processes, support new product development, and implement changes that improve safety, quality, and productivity.

You will gain broad exposure to capital projects, PFMEA, supplier management, and continuous improvement while growing beyond day-to-day process support. This role targets engineers who want to advance in manufacturing optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• 13 years of automotive manufacturing experience.
• Experience with PFMEA.
• Ability to read component drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with AutoCAD or CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Create and evaluate process plans for new manufacturing processes.
• Assist in developing new product designs and production processes.
• Review process flow diagrams and facility layouts to optimize operations.
• Lead supplier selection and tooling/equipment sourcing activities.
• Manage project budgets and track financials to keep projects on target.
• Develop reports and documentation to support the Production Engineering team.
• Coach and support teams on production processes and continuous improvement.
