Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group is seeking a Product Launch Engineer to lead the development of manufacturing processes for new products. The role focuses on balancing cost and quality, overseeing process engineering, tooling procurement, and equipment installations as part of APQP, and coordinating product transfers to the Geneva facility.

You will drive APQP team activities, manage sampling, and develop routings and work instructions for new parts, while collaborating with scheduling, manufacturing,

Qualifications

• Experience leading APQP teams and coordinating cross-functional engineering efforts.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and AIAG core tools.
• Proven ability to manage cost-quality trade-offs and tooling, equipment, and process changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead APQP activities from concept through production capability.
• Manage sampling, inspection, and prototype processes to meet customer requirements and due dates.
• Develop and maintain production routings, process documents, and work instructions for new parts.
• Support commercial teams with manufacturability discussions and customer requirements.
• Execute program timelines for new tooling and machinery within budget.
