Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Product Application Engineer to coordinate design and development for assigned mobility programs, ensuring system performance meets requirements. You lead CAD teams and oversee validation plans in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires coordinating DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM, and engineering timelines, with direct supervision of CAD and Test Engineers. Travel is expected, and collaboration spans multiple groups to deliver tooling and components on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• New Graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Experience in Automotive / Manufacturing, preferred.
• Experience in GD&T, DVP&R, DFMEA, and BOM.
• Experienced in Safety Components or Fuel Systems components, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design and development for assigned programs and ensure system performance meets requirements.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with tight time constraints.
• Responsible for DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM, and engineering timeline including action plans for issue resolution and product validation.
• Direct CAD designers in the development of details and assembly data/drawings to meet program requirements.
• Direct Test Engineers/Technicians in the design and execution of validation plans.
• Direct the manufacture, assembly and validation of prototype parts.
• Communicate design changes to the program team.
• Release drawings/maths data to suppliers and customers.
• Make recommendations for improvement to drive lower cost and higher quality.
