BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC invites students to join a hybrid quality and process engineering co-op for Spring 2027 in the Body in White field. The program blends small projects with shadowing experienced Quality and Process Engineers, offering practical learning and hands-on responsibilities.

Qualified students possess a BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, strong MS Office skills, and knowledge of PFMEA and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 GPA required (overall, not just in major).
• Enrolled as a student at an accredited four-year college/university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours by the time of application.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
• Transfer students must have GPA from current university.
• Must attach a copy of unofficial transcript.
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
• Work term dates: January 11 – May 14, 2027.
• Must be an enrolled student during all three rotations.

Responsibilities

• Create 24-hour morning reports daily and continuously improve reporting.
• Attend dimensional and quality follow-up meetings daily.
• Shadow current Quality Engineers and Process Engineers.
• Design and construct ergonomic and process improvement tools.
• Conduct time studies for production process changes and feasibility reporting.
