Job summary

Van Bortel Automotive Group in Rochester, NY is seeking a NYS Inspector licensed automotive technician to join our service team. You will perform pre-delivery inspections, state inspections, install accessories, and prepare used vehicles for sale, working closely with service staff.

The role emphasizes mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostic equipment usage, attention to detail, and teamwork in a dynamic environment. We offer mentorship, training, and growth opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• NYS Inspector license required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-delivery inspection of new vehicles per manufacturer specs.
• Complete NY State inspection of sold vehicles.
• Install accessories on sold vehicles.
• Inspect used cars and perform repairs to ready inventory.
• Perform work on repair orders efficiently and per dealership standards.
• Communicate with Service Advisor and execute repairs to specs.
