Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a Power Electronics Engineer to specification, design, develop, and validate on‑board power conversion modules. You will serve as the SME for vehicle installed power converters and guide D&R, test, and systems engineers to ensure robust interfaces with vehicle modules.

You will lead design reviews, perform worst‑case circuit analysis, and collaborate with suppliers/test labs on EMC plans, ensuring compliance with IEC/IEEE/UL/SAE standards. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Power Electronics or related field with 2 years of experience.
• Experience with AC/DC, DC/DC, or DC/AC power converter topologies.
• Experience with hardware circuit simulation and component selection.
• Familiarity with SiC and GaN power devices.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, UL and SAE safety and performance standards.
• Ability to write test plans and conduct lab tests for high‑power converter performance.
• Experience with 8D failure analysis and supplier collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, develop, and validate on-board power conversion modules.
• Act as SME for vehicle-installed power converters and guide D&R, test, and systems engineers.
• Develop interfaces with vehicle and accessory modules.
• Lead design reviews and worst-case circuit analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and approved test labs to execute EMC tests.
• Ensure designs meet regional standards and code compliance (IEC, IEEE, UL, SAE).
• Provide hardware support to troubleshoot system faults and errors.
• Stay updated on technology advances through focus groups and forums.
• Domestic and international travel up to 10%.
