Job summary

French Ellison Truck Center in Laredo, TX is seeking an individual for a Porter position. This role involves driving vehicles to and from service lanes, assisting customers, and maintaining shop cleanliness while supporting the service department.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (associate’s degree in auto/diesel preferred), a clean driving record, and strong verbal/written communication. Flexible to extended hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree in the auto/diesel field preferred.
• Previous experience as a Porter in an auto/diesel dealership preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends to achieve their goals.
• Must be reliable and able to multi-task.
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8 – 12 hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicles to and from the service lanes.
• Assists customers in directing them to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintains cleanliness of the shop.
• Run any necessary errands required by the service department.
