Job summary

Suburban Automotive Service at Milford Proving Grounds is seeking a dependable Porter to support vehicle transport between Milford Proving Grounds, auction lots, and the Lansing CVO Office. The role includes dropping off dealer repairs and performing light detailing and fueling as needed.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid chauffeur's license, be at least 21, and demonstrate a reliable, self-starting attitude.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles to and from Milford Proving Ground.
• Transport vehicles to auction lots.
• Transport vehicles to Lansing CVO Office.
• Drop off and pick up dealer repairs.
• Light detailing and fueling of assigned vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle exchanges.
• Conduct inspections on turned-in vehicles.
• Pickup ordered parts from suppliers.
• Assist with driver fleet renewals.
• Adhere to SAS DRIVEN values and SAS mission.

SalaryOverview:

The pay rate for this role starts at $15 per hour based on experience.

Hours:

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm.

Porter Responsibilities Include:

• Transport vehicles to and from Lundstrom House at Milford Proving Ground.
• Transport disposed vehicles to auction lots.
• Transport vehicle to and from Lansing CVO Office.
• Drop off and pick up dealer repairs.
• Lightly detail and gas up assigned vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle exchanges.
• Conduct vehicle inspections on turned-in vehicles.
• Pick up the ordered parts from various suppliers.
• Assist with assigned driver fleet tab renewals.
• Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.

Porter Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Chauffer's License with an adequate driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles at Milford Proving Grounds.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be a reliable team player.

Porter's Working Conditions and Physical Demands Include:

• Drivers will primarily be driving or riding inside of vehicles so applicants must be okay with sitting for most of the time.
