Job summary

GLS North America is seeking a Porter to support daily operations at Milford Proving Grounds. You will transport vehicles and parts, assist with auctions, and help with general service tasks as part of a driven, safety‑minded team.

The role requires a valid chauffeur’s license, a 21+ age minimum, and a dependable, team‑oriented attitude to uphold our DRIVEN values.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid chauffeur's license.
• Must be at least 21 years old to drive company vehicles.
• Self-starter with reliable work ethic.
• Reliable team player capable of collaborating with others.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles to and from Lundstrom House at Milford Proving Ground.
• Transport disposed vehicles to auction lots.
• Transport vehicle to and from Lansing CVO Office.
• Drop off and pick up dealer repairs.
• Lightly detail and gas up assigned vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle exchanges.
• Conduct vehicle inspections on turned-in vehicles.
• Pick up the ordered parts from various suppliers.
• Assist with driver fleet tab renewals.
• Adhere to DRIVEN values and SAS mission.

As a Porter, you will transport company vehicles and parts and assist with other miscellaneous tasks or projects crucial for daily operations.

Salary Overview

The pay rate for this role starts at $15 per hour based on experience.

Hours

The hours for this role are Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm.

Porter Responsibilities Include

• Transport vehicles to and from Lundstrom House at Milford Proving Ground.
• Transport disposed vehicles to auction lots.
• Transport vehicle to and from Lansing CVO Office.
• Drop off and pick up dealer repairs.
• Lightly detail and gas up assigned vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle exchanges.

Porter Qualifications And Skills

• Valid Chauffer's License with an adequate driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles at Milford Proving Grounds.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be a reliable team player.

Porter's Working Conditions And Physical Demands Include

• Drivers will primarily be driving or riding inside of vehicles so applicants must be okay with sitting for most of the time.
