Job summary

Rohrman Automotive Group in Illinois is seeking an Automotive Porter to help keep our vehicle inventory organized and our dealership lot running safely and efficiently. This is an entry-level position suited for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and wants to be part of a high-energy automotive team.

You will inspect incoming vehicles, park and store inventory, catalog keys, move units to prep, service stored vehicles, and drive the lot safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming vehicles by comparing serial numbers against invoices; document any damage or missing accessories on the delivery receipt.
• Park new and sold vehicles in designated areas to keep the lot organized and maximize space.
• Catalog and store vehicle keys; assign stock control numbers to incoming inventory.
• Move sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department as directed.
• Service stored vehicles as needed to maintain tires, batteries, and vehicle finishes.
• Operate all company vehicles safely, maintaining legal driving speeds on the lot and on the road at all times.
• Maintain lot safety and cleanliness in compliance with OSHA standards.

Requirements

• No prior automotive experience required — we'll train you.
• Valid driver's license with a clean, acceptable driving record (required).
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded with a good eye for detail.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stay active throughout the shift.
