Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an entry-level Porter to transport vehicles, tools, parts, and equipment and to support the repair workflow in our shop.

This role offers growth opportunities into other positions and requires a high school diploma, strong customer service, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check and MVR review; travel may be required for training and ongoing education within the assigned area.

Job Summary

Porters will be responsible for transporting vehicles, tools, parts, and equipment to necessary locations. This is an entry level position with an opportunity to grow into other roles.

Role and Responsibilities

• Customer service oriented
• Communicate with field team to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Test drive vehicles after repair and/or ADAS calibrations
• Transport vehicles, tools, and/or customers as needed during repair process
• Vehicle clean up may be required
• Perform other duties as assigned by field leadership

Qualifications, Education & Experience

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
• Ability to pass a background check
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds independently
• Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping
• Requires frequent driving of company and customer vehicles
• Extensive travel within assigned area is expected
• May have exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals
• Ability to work in a shop environment in inclement weather
• Required to wear PPE to include but not limited to facial covering, eye protection, gloves
• Protech uses E-Verify to confirm the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.
