Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corporation seeks an experienced PMO leader to establish and run the PMO for its automotive semiconductor power management group. You will drive portfolio governance, program execution, and cross-functional alignment across design, development, validation, and production phases.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of program and portfolio management experience in complex product development environments, especially automotive semiconductors.
• Experience establishing and leading PMO organizations responsible for 10+ concurrent programs across design, development, validation, and production.
• Deep understanding of automotive product development, NPI methodologies, design-in cycles, and supplier management.
• Proven governance and portfolio management skills with stage-gate processes and resource planning; PMP/PRINCE2 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Establish PMO vision, governance, processes, tools, and team composition; support 15–25 concurrent programs across design, development, validation, and production.
• Implement portfolio governance with quarterly reviews, go/no-go decision frameworks, and resource allocation; ensure visibility into status and risks.
• Drive program execution with milestones, dependencies, and success criteria; implement stage-gate aligned with product lifecycle; track health via dashboards.
• Manage schedule, budget, and resource allocation; monitor spending forecasts; escalate constraints to leadership.
• Drive functional safety governance aligned with ISO 26262 and SOTIF; embed safety reviews in stage-gate and milestones; track ASIL, safety cases, and FMEA/FTA.
• Identify and mitigate risks including functional safety and compliance; maintain risk dashboards and escalate high-impact risks.
• Drive on-time, on-budget delivery of design-ins and ramps; ensure NPI processes are disciplined; establish delivery metrics.
• Build cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Success.
• Establish KPIs and reporting cadences; drive PMO process improvements and tool effectiveness.
