Job summary

Moss Bros. Toyota of Moreno Valley is seeking a PDI Tech to preload systems, inspect and service new vehicles, and ensure quality before delivery.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, ASE certification preferred, and at least one year in a service department; valid driver’s license and clean record required. You will join a large, locally-owned Southern California auto group with strong values and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of automobiles and diagnostic abilities.
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• One year in a service department
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Preload systems and inspect, prepare, and service all new vehicles delivered to the dealership.
• Inspect all new vehicles for obvious damages and missing components.
• Test-drive vehicles to ensure proper operation of brakes, transmission, and engine.
• Activate power equipment to ensure standard operation.
• Touch up minor chips and scratches on paint.
• Install optional equipment specified by the dealer.
• Install standard components such as hubcaps and license plate holder.
• Follow all safety policies and practices.
• Assist in other areas of the Service Department as needed.
• Maintain high ethical standards in all actions.
• Keep workspace organized and clean.

Responsibilities

• The PDI Tech is responsible for preloading systems and includes inspecting, preparing, and servicing all new vehicles delivered to the dealership Inspects all lubrication levels and adds proper lubrication, as required
• Inspects all new vehicles for obvious damages and missing components
• Test-drives vehicles to ensure proper operation of brakes, transmission, and engine operation
• Activates power equipment such as electric windows, seats, radio, horn, lights, and directional signals to ensure specified operating standards
• Touches up any minor chips and scratches on paint
• Installs optional equipment specified by the dealer such as rugs, seat covers,
• Installs standard components such as hubcaps and license plate holder
• Follows all company safety policies, operations, and practices
• Assists in all other areas of the Service Department as needed
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
• Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner
