Job summary

Moss Bros. Auto Group in Moreno Valley is seeking a PDI Tech to preload systems, inspect, and service all new vehicles before delivery. You will verify lubrication, test drive, and ensure components meet quality standards.

The role requires automotive knowledge, strong diagnostic and communication skills, and the ability to learn new technology. You will operate electronic diagnostic equipment, perform tests, and support the Service Department.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities.
• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred).
• One year in a service department.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Preloads systems for new vehicles and inspects, prepares, and services them.
• Inspects all new vehicles for damage and missing components.
• Test-drives vehicles to verify brakes, transmission, and engine operation.
• Activates power equipment to ensure operating standards.
• Touches up minor chips and scratches on paint.
• Installs optional equipment and standard components.
• Follows safety policies and assists in other Service Department areas.
• Maintains organized and clean workspace.
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.

Responsibilities

• The PDI Tech is responsible for preloading systems and includes inspecting, preparing, and servicing all new vehicles delivered to the dealership Inspects all lubrication levels and adds proper lubrication, as required
• Inspects all new vehicles for obvious damages and missing components
• Test-drives vehicles to ensure proper operation of brakes, transmission, and engine operation
• Activates power equipment such as electric windows, seats, radio, horn, lights, and directional signals to ensure specified operating standards
• Touches up any minor chips and scratches on paint
• Installs optional equipment specified by the dealer such as rugs, seat covers,
• Installs standard components such as hubcaps and license plate holder
• Follows all company safety policies, operations, and practices
• Assists in all other areas of the Service Department as needed
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
• Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner
