Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring for a store associate who will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, and support professional customers and installers. You will handle cash and card transactions, process returns, and resolve complaints in a friendly, efficient manner.

The role involves daily stocking, planogram updates, and operating store equipment after training. Multitasking across phone and in-store interactions is essential, with ASE certification preferred and bilingual skills

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and assist in selecting merchandise.
• Promote customer service programs such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee and related selling.
• Assist professional customers and installers as needed and directed.
• Process cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately.
• Handle exchanges and returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assist with daily store operations, stocking and planogram updates.
• Operate store equipment after training and company requirements are met.
• Provide in-store services where allowed, such as wipers, batteries, and diagnostics.
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if needed.
