Job summary

Genuine Parts Company’s Store Pro in the NAPA retail environment serves as the primary contact for customers, delivering accurate automotive parts solutions across retail and wholesale channels. The role emphasizes product knowledge, responsiveness, and a high-energy customer experience in a fast-paced store.

You will operate POS and inventory tools, assist with orders, support store operations, and build customer relationships to drive loyalty.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn automotive parts and technology systems.
• Experience in automotive, retail, or parts environment (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with vehicle repair or maintenance (preferred).
• Knowledge of inventory or cataloging systems (preferred).
• Background in automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, farm, marine, or dealership environments (preferred).
• ASE Certification (not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate automotive parts solutions to retail and wholesale customers.
• Deliver a consistently positive and engaging customer experience.
• Utilize product knowledge to assist customers and support team members.
• Operate systems including POS, inventory/catalog tools, and communication devices.
• Maintain high energy and customer focus in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Support store operations including transactions, inquiries, and general workflow.
• Build relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business.
• Utilize delivery management systems to coordinate and dispatch deliveries, pull and prepare orders for customers and drivers, and support efficient logistics and fulfillment operations.
• Perform general housekeeping, cleaning, and organizational tasks to maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming store environment.
• Assist with inventory control activities, including receiving merchandise, stocking shelves, conducting cycle counts, and helping maintain accurate inventory records.
